NATTOUR is a nonprofit organisation with the aim of taking initiatives that help to protect the environment. NATTOUR also promotes the development of alternative forms of tourism, cycling tourism included.

In 2017, NATTOUR, in cooperation with the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF), initiated the development of cycling tourism, in order to attract tourists who would like to either tour areas of Greece by using the bicycle as a means of transport or for excursions nearby the hotel they stay.

The “Bike Friendly” Label certifies hotels and destinations that satisfy a set of internationally established criteria for cyclists (hotels criteria – destinations criteria).

The “Bike Friendly” Project is supported by Travel Media Applications, which offers integrated communication solutions exclusively to the tourism industry, using technology in web applications.
