The Mayor of Leros island, Mr. Michalis Kolias, having in mind that cycling tourism is, among other things, the best option for the extension of the tourist season, informs the citizens, the visitors and friends of Leros island, that the process of certification and promotion of our Municipality as a friendly destination for cyclists (Bike Friendly Destination) has been completed, receiving among others the digital label of certification.

The Mayor of Leros island, Mr. Kolias, in a relevant statement regarding the issue stated the following:

“The Municipal Authority of Leros island is silently trying to prolong the tourist season with various actions, such as this one. In collaboration with the cycling club of Leros, whose members work hard, maintaining old and new walking and cycling routes in the beautiful nature of Merikia, but also many other parts of the island, we make efforts to establish ourselves on a global level. I warmly thank the cycling club of Leros and my associates, for this positive development, because Leros goes forward only with collaborations and not with misery. We continue with a faster pace to give Leros everything it deserves!”
